- Graduated from Dalhousie University in Halifax in 1970 with a Bachelor of Laws degree
- Admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1971
- Joined the firm in 1976
- Has maintained a thriving Corporate/Commercial/Real Estate/Wills & Estates practice and also enjoys visiting the Court of Appeal in the course of his Commercial Litigation practice
